The Music of Bees by Eileen Garvin was the July pick for Reading Together Book Club @bcplinsta

Alice is still grieving her husband and after a stressful trip to pick up her bees she almost runs over Jake in his wheelchair. Jake is trying to work through his depression after a tragic accident that left him a paraplegic. A near miss bonds two people who otherwise would have never crossed paths. While working out how to help one another with Alice’s bee farm, Harry finds his way to the farm and all three create a community that offers what each is missing in their life.

I thought this would be a quick read but before you realize it you are taking your time feeling all the emotions and rooting for the underdogs. A deeply emotional novel that reminds you not to judge a person by their appearance or past.

I was excited to learn that there is another book continuing the story, Bumblebee Season.
