Oh my stars. Our Perfect Storm was a 4.75 read maybe a 5. I’m still processing.
A slow burn romance with a bit of spice. So beautifully written. I have never thought George was a sexy name but this George is perfection.
Best friends since childhood George and Frankie were inseparable until George took a job far away. On the day of her wedding she wakes up to a letter on her pillow from her fiancé Nate saying he can’t marry her. Frankie ends up living with her parents and isn’t sure how to move forward. Frankie and George decide to share the experience of her already booked honeymoon. What transpires between them are what fairy tales are made of.
This was my first Carley Fortune and definitely will not be my last.
Thanks for this review, Angela. I have a book by this author but was wondering about the spice 🔥level. I don’t really care for books with a lot of heat.
Could you rate the spice level on a 1-5 scale?

It is a very slow burn so the spice hit at 80% in and I would rate 2.5/3. Not on the Meghan Quinn level but not simmering either.
It is very well written and feels natural to the story. You could skip those pages and be fine though.
This was my first by her so I don’t know about her other books.
