For February my Bookends book club picked the autobiography of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. I chose to listen to the audiobook that was narrated by Ketanji herself.
Lovely One was very interesting. Ketanji has lived a full life. Some chapters of her life were easier than others. We follow her life from childhood in Miami to her current status of Supreme Court Justice. She is the first black woman to serve and only the second woman to serve.
I really enjoyed when she talked about her grandmother singing hymns and she sang a line or two. She has a beautiful singing voice.
My main complaint which is what I have regarding most autobiography/biography reads is it could have been shorter. We as readers do not need to know every single detail of every single day of their life. That is my opinion only.
The audiobook is a little over 18 hours.
