Deeply, Desperately by Heather Webber

Why am I so mean to myself? I read book one 8 years ago and absolutely loved it! I loved this one just as much.

We all know I am not a huge fan of paranormal but I love this type of paranormal. Being able to see peoples auras and match them with their soul mates. Perfect for sappy me.

This book takes places during the cold, damp Boston Christmas season. A husband and father trying to prove he didn’t kill his wife, a former POW wanting to find the love of his life that moved on when she thought he perished in the war, and a family finding each other.

I am not waiting as long to read book 3. Heather Webber writes the most beautiful stories that leave you filled with contentment.

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose

I enjoyed The Perfect Marriage more but with that said this was a great listen.

At times it was too slow and maybe a few items could have been omitted. I may have felt that way because I did not like Bob. In the first book he was creepy and still was in this book.

You will find yourself saying, “what’s wrong next?” Plenty of twists to keep you up long into the night.

Nantucket Neighbors by Pamela M. Kelley

Another delightful read set on the story book island of Nantucket. I am so fascinated with this island and read almost anything set on the island.

We continue with the lives of Lisa and her four grown children. Lisa deals with a health scare, Abby continues to grow a tiny human and eat anything with sugar, Kate is happy with Jack, Kristen makes a life change and spreads her wings, and Chase makes the biggest change of all.

The next book is set at Christmas and while fall is just beginning I am going to dive right in.

The Nantucket Inn by Pamela Kelley

A sweet, clean romance that gives you Hallmark vibes and I’m here for that feeling.

Widow Lisa realizes her husband was not as truthful about their finances as she thought. In order to keep her Nantucket home she decides to rent out rooms in hopes of becoming a full-fledged B and B. She also comes to realize all her chicks but one are going through patches in their lives. As she navigates her own new life path she is ground zero for her chicks as well.

A quick read that will have you immediately reaching for the next book in the series.

Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

Thanks to this book for almost short circuiting my treadmill. The last 20% of the book was a tear fest.

Emma and Justin start their romance as a joke since for both all their exes immediately found the one after them. Their plan was to go on a date 4 times and “breakup” and find their soul mates. Funny how the universe works.

Get a copy today to find out how their romance unfolds.

The Friend Zone is still my top favorite but Just for Summer only lost that spot by a hair.

Methods of Malice by Ellery Adams and Tina Radcliffe

An enjoyable visit with The Hope Street Bible study class. A perfect read to get you in the fall holiday spirit. We start out at Halloween time and end at Christmas. Thanksgiving is even represented for a few pages.

The Bible study group tries out for roles in the local production of It’s a Wonderful Life. A hot shot director as agreed to direct the play which has the group excited. Maybe if the play is successful enough the senior center can get the bus that will transport shut in’s to the place of worship. Unfortunately, the battle ax assistant to the director is murdered. Can Cooper solve the murder before joining Clarence Odbody in the heavenly sky?

A clean cozy mystery with faith and scripture sprinkled throughout.

We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman

I finished this book this morning and I’m still not sure if I liked it or not.

Likes: the true look at hospice, the feelings families and friends experience while a loved one is in hospice

Dislikes: the writing style (I found it choppy and disjointed), Ash (always self-centered)

It brought to mind memories regarding both my parents who had separate hospice experiences. Hospice nursing takes a special kind of person.

This was a short read (217 pages) and is available on Kindle Unlimited at this time.

The Mango Murders by Lucy Burdette

This is one of my favorite cozy mystery culinary series. Started in the middle and went back to the beginning and over the last few years have stayed current.

The series is set in beautiful Key West which is full of character and characters. It is full over sass especially when Miss Gloria gets involved. She is my absolute favorite character. Nathan has grown on me.

The Mango Murders revolves around everything mangoes and a boat explosion that almost took out half the cast.

A perfect read for the last few days of summer.

The ending is perfect and will leave you hungry for more.
